Another tribute to Gustav Klimt.

This was a fun piece to do because of the organic decorative patterns. I decided to use that pattern for the background to envelope the figure in this pattern even more.

With this piece I tried to mimic the way Klimt set the model’s face as the focal point of the piece by making it the “quiet” area surrounded by very busy decorative pattern.

Additionally, I wanted to utilize the model’s curve to accentuate the movement of the figure in the painting that points to the model’s face to unify the painting and the “canvas”.
